This vast pilgrimage church was built in the 12th century under the leadership of Benedictine monks. Located on one of the paths of Santiago de Compostela (Soulac Road). it is frequented by many jacquets during the great hours of the Compostellan pilgrimage. which come to venerate the relics of St. Veronique (evangelizer Medoc) as well as a drop of milk attributed to the Virgin Mary. Very marked by the Romanesque styles of Saints and Poitevins. it has to be reworked several times during its history. the constant displacement of dunes regularly beginning its structure.
