The Chapel of S. Sebastião is classified as Property of Public Interest. The construction of the current church began at the beginning of the XVIII century. however. historical sources indicate that it would already exist in the XVI century.
Originally. it was located where today stands the Paços do Concelho building. having been transferred to the current site around 1860. when construction of the current City Hall building began.
Primarily for its sobriety. its exterior is characterized by the absence of great architectural artifice.
