13.- Palace of Cienfuegos de Peñalba. in Pola de Allande
Palace and rural fortress with an L-shaped plan and three towers. Of the three towers. the one located in the northwest is the oldest and the southern one is the most recent. The towers have hip roofs and the main building has a mono-pitched roof. The north and east façades of the outer elevation are restrained in decoration. whereas its south and west façades. open to the patio. are filled with Renaissance decoration. It consists of two doors with a semi-circular arch and voussoirs. a three-lobed arch door. a coat of arms with angels and a cross. two windows with a lowered arch and two balconies with a rooftop decorated with balls. The main floor is divided into a living room. a kitchen. the royal bedroom and other private spaces. On the third floor of the northeast tower there is a kitchen with smoke outlet. as well as a particularly large oven.
