The Mountain of Montemuro is the eighth highest elevation of Continental Portugal. with 1381 meters of altitude. It is located in the municipalities of Arouca. Cinfães. Resende and Castro Daire and Lamego (district of Viseu) and between the regions of the Douro Litoral and Beira Alta. The average altitude is 838 meters. The highest point of the mountain is called by Talegre or Talefe. to 1.381 meters of altitude. The whole mountain range has a lot of relief and is steep practically on all sides.
