Romanesque church from the first quarter of the 13th century that formed part of the old monastery located there. belonging to the Order of Santiago. It has a Latin cross floor plan. with a rectangular main nave and transept. a semicircular central apse and two apsidioles facing the transverse nave. The front has a beautiful façade with a bell-shaped round arch. with four archivolts on columns with profusely decorated capitals. It is crowned by eaves supported by an elegant frieze. on which rest the statues of Saint Michael. Saint Bartholomew and the Virgin with Child. External arches perpendicular to the façade complete the monument. made of granite ashlars and covered with tiles.
Inside. there is a Gothic baldachin from the 15th century (the only exception in the Galician churches). the main altarpiece in granite. and interesting Gothic mural paintings in the apse (late 14th and early 15th centuries). as well as several sepulchral pieces with the coat of arms of different families.
