Ruins of the Dybowski Castle and Nieszawa Burgh:
The ruins of the Gothic castle of Dybów are located on the left bank of the Vistula. near the road bridge. The castle was constructed in the period 1422-62 at the order of King Władysław Jagiełło. to be a counterweight for the Teutonic Order's castle in Toruń. Initially it was only a brick building. later strengthened and surrounded with a high wall. Entry gate was built on the other side of the building. The castle was the seat of royal starosta of Dybów. During the Thirteen Years' War (1454-66) King Kazimierz Jagiellończyk was often visiting the castle. It was destroyed during the Swedish wars. From 1998 archaeological works were conducted at the castle for several years.
