Located in the Castle Farm of Treignes. impressive building dating back to its oldest part to sixteenth century. the Ecomuseum of the Viroin offers to its visitors and users to (re) discover the rural heritage of the Entre-Sambre and Meuse region and. through this. the past of our society and its changes from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. The museum is an illustration of the technological know-how of village communities. but also a mirror of cultural and social changes that have passed throught the region of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse for two centuries. Through scientific research. the valorization of a vast collection (tools. furniture. agricultural machinery. posters ...). events. educational animations. it is a whole knowledge and a whole history which are transmitted and share.
