The citadel overlooks the city and plunges you into the heart of the history of the various assaults it has had to face. It was fortified by Vauban and features a weaponry museum with various scenes that will allow you to relive its tumultuous past. You can access the citadel via stair hewn in the rock (408 steps) or via cable car (one of the last ones in Belgium!).
