42.- Church of Santo Tomas of Canterbury in Avilés
Romanesque church from the 18th century. It has a rectangular ground plan. a single nave and a semi-circular apse. During the 17th century the rooves were built and many bays are opened. It has two doorways at the west and at the south. where the Romanesque-style decoration is concentrated. Many motifs such as masks. vegetal elements. animals and human heads appear.
