In the ancient Roman Forum of Assisi, today part of its Civic Museum, there is the sculpture of a robed figure, from the excavations carried out in front of the temple of Minerva in 1836. It is a figure wearing a short-sleeved tunic and a wide toga, with a cylinder with codices and rolls next to his left leg, associated with someone who held public office. Despite having lost its head and arms, it was undoubtedly erected to honour a Roman citizen.
